On August 10, 2024, Jagran College of Arts, Science, and Commerce organized an Orientation Program for the newly admitted B.Com first-year students. The event commenced with the auspicious lighting of the lamp and a soulful Ganesh Vandana, marking the beginning of an enlightening journey for the fresh batch.
Principal Dr. Asmita Dubey extended a warm welcome to the chief guest and keynote speaker, Dr. Amit Kumar Niranjan, a renowned educationist, author, and entrepreneur. Dr. Niranjan, who was nominated for the prestigious Padma Shri Award and honored with the UP Gaurav Samman in 2022, graced the occasion with his presence and wisdom. As a token of respect and appreciation, Dr. Reshma Rajani presented a sapling to the esteemed guest.
Dr. Niranjan delivered an inspiring address, emphasizing the significance of overall student development, future career planning, and the path to entrepreneurship through Commerce, Management, and Communication skills. He urged students to uphold academic excellence and contribute meaningfully to society. His insightful discourse highlighted the fundamental role of Commerce as the backbone of the Indian economy.
The CEO of Jagran Education Foundation, Dr. J.N. Gupta, further enriched the session by sharing motivational insights. He encouraged students to steer clear of negativity and harness their inner strength to achieve success.
B.Com Coordinator Dr. Kamal Vinod provided an overview of the course curriculum, elaborating on the provisions of the National Education Policy (NEP) and addressing students’ queries. Additionally, Dr. Roopali Mishra, Coordinator of B.Com, introduced students to the various activity groups and the vibrant campus life at the college.
Faculty members Dr. Anshul Saxena and Mrs. Anamika Srivastava also shared their valuable thoughts, motivating students to meticulously plan their career paths and strive for excellence.
The highlight of the event was a captivating dance and music performance by senior students, who extended a warm and enthusiastic welcome to the fresh batch. The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks and the rendition of the National Anthem, marking the end of an inspiring and memorable event.
