Jagran College celebrated the 75th Independence Day of India, as a part of “Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” with great zeal and patriotisms on its premises. The ceremony commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by Dr. J.N. Gupta (CEO, Jagran Education Foundation) accompanied by Heads of the institutions, faculty and staff members with the echoes of National Anthem. To commemorate the initiative taken by the freedom fighters of India, series of online competitions were also conducted.
- “PARIDHAN” a fashion show on the theme ‘National Heroes of India’ was held to intrigue them and nurture in them, the values upheld by these great leaders. Students also delivered a short narration on his or her character while showcasing their adorned attires of freedom fighters.
- “RANG DE BASANTI” a solo singing competition on patriotic songs to pay tribute to freedom fighters.
“SCREEN BATTLE” a short film making competition on the themes; Re-live India, New India, Milestone@75 years, Role of women in India’s independence.
- “KAVYANJALI” a poetry competition on the theme स्वतंत्र भारत की परतंत्र मानसिकता ’. Students were asked to wear tricolour attire while reciting their poems.
- A slogan writing competition on the theme Swachh Bharat.
- One offline activity “KALARANG” a poster making competition was also held by depicting the thoughts for nation building and growth.
More than 100 students from various streams enthusiastically participated in all activities. The competition enabled the students to realise and relive the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements. Jury members were amazed with the entries full of originality, creativity and feelings of “Rashtra Prem”. The activity was coordinated by the members of Activity Club and Language, Culture and Literature Club.
