The PM Vishwakarma Exhibition and Trade Fair-2024, organized by the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME), was held at Fazalganj, Kanpur, from September 10 to 12, 2024. This three-day event provided a valuable platform for students to gain industry insights and exposure to the MSME sector.
More than 100 students from B.Com, M.Com, B.B.A, B.C.A, and B.Com (Hons.) of Jagran College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Saket Nagar, Kanpur, enthusiastically participated in the program. The event was successfully coordinated by Dr. Manisha Gupta, ensuring a well-organized and engaging experience for all attendees.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. Rakesh Sachan, Cabinet Minister for MSME, Khadi, Village Industries, Sericulture, and Textile, Government of Uttar Pradesh. The ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by an inspiring address by the chief guest, where he shared his valuable insights on the growth and opportunities in the MSME sector.
Mr. V.K. Verma, Director, MSME, Kanpur, extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests and students. The exhibition featured a diverse range of displays and stalls, showcasing innovative products and services, giving students firsthand exposure to entrepreneurial ventures and industrial advancements.
The students found the exhibition highly informative and motivating, as it broadened their understanding of the MSME sector and its significance in the Indian economy. Their participation in the event was a step towards bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical industry applications.
The program concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, recognizing the students’ active participation and enthusiasm.
