The BCA program orientation commenced on 5th Aug, with great enthusiasm, bringing together students, faculty members, and esteemed guests to mark the beginning of a promising academic year. The event was honored by the presence of Dr. Anand Handa, a post-doctoral research fellow at IIT Kanpur’s C3i Hub, who delivered an insightful keynote address on the significance of cybersecurity.
The event began on a spiritual note with a serene Ganesh Vandana, invoking blessings for a successful journey ahead. In a symbolic gesture of growth and new beginnings, Mr. Nikhil Shukla presented a sapling to Dr. Handa, followed by our esteemed principal, Dr. Asmita Dubey, presenting him with a memento as a token of appreciation.
The cultural segment of the program added vibrancy to the event, with a mesmerizing dance play and a soulful musical performance by our talented students, capturing the essence of college life.
Dr. Handa captivated the audience with his inspiring journey from a software engineer to an academician and his pivotal role at the C3i Hub, where he mentors thousands, including personnel from premier institutions and the Indian Army. His upcoming involvement in training soldiers to become Cyber Commandos highlighted the growing importance of cybersecurity in national security. A key takeaway from his address was the emphasis on individuality and personal branding when applying for jobs—an invaluable lesson for our BCA students.
