Digital Detoxification – A Step Toward a Balanced Life

On 4th October 2024, Jagran College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Kanpur, in collaboration with ITM Skills University, organized a thought-provoking seminar on “Digital Detoxification”. The event took place from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the college premises and was attended by enthusiastic students and faculty members alike.

The seminar aimed to raise awareness about the growing dependency on digital devices and the impact of excessive screen time on mental and physical health. It provided practical strategies to achieve a healthier balance between the digital and real world.

The session was led by Mr. Niteesh Srivastava, an experienced Learning and Development Professional from ITM Group of Institutions. With over a decade of experience in training and content building, Mr. Srivastava is a specialist in Quantitative Analysis, Financial Management, Advanced Excel, and Interview Preparation. He holds an MBA in Finance, M.Com, and is a CFA candidate. His interactive and engaging style of delivery ensured that the seminar was not only informative but also highly impactful.

During the seminar, Mr. Srivastava emphasized the importance of mindful technology usage and shared practical tips to manage screen time effectively. He also discussed the psychological and physiological effects of digital overload and encouraged students to adopt habits that promote mental well-being and productivity.

The session concluded with an engaging Q&A round, where students actively participated and shared their own experiences. The seminar was a great success and left the attendees with valuable insights and actionable steps to take toward a more balanced and mindful digital life.
