Minority Cell
The minority cell of the college is formed with the purpose of empowering the minority communities in the college. The cell basically helps minority students, including Christians, Muslims, Sikhs, Jain etc for their academic development. The minority cell of the college continuously ensures the protection of minority community and acts as per the provisions of the constitution of the India in such matters. It resolves the problems and needs of minorities.
Objectives of the Cell
To promote social inclusion and provide fairness and equal opportunity for the college minority community
To make the minority students aware of the various Scholarship schemes of the Central and State Government.
To encourage for participation in various courses, workshop, programs etc. which would equip them with the skills needed for their careers.
To encourage for participation in various orientation programs which would empower them with the necessary skills to choose a career option
To provide prompt counselling for any emotional emergencies arising on account of any event on the college campus.
To provide them with proper guidance and required counselling.
Mechanism
Minority cell of the college intends to assist the students and staff of the minority community, with respect to social inclusion, scholarships, job opportunities, and other academic and non – academic aspects according to the UGC regulations. The mechanism of the cell is as follows:
Any student or staff belonging to the minority community having any concern or assistance and counselling and support with respect to academic, financial, social and other matters can fill the grievance redressal form. The complaint forms are made available with the Convenor of the Cell. Aggrieved parties have to fill the complaint form and submit the same along with necessary supporting documents (If any), for further course of action and redressal. The grievant and the concerned persons to the case will be heard by the Chairperson and members to understand the view points and redress the case in an unbiased manner. The cell assures to provide an equitable solution within 7 working days.
