On 17th September, orientation program of students of B.A., B.Sc., B.Com. (Honors) was organized in Laxmi Auditorium of Jagran College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Saket Nagar, Kanpur.
The program started with Ganesh Vandana and welcome of the keynote speaker and the chief guest of the program, Mr. Prem Prakash Meena IAS, Additional Chief Officer, UPSIDA, Dr. Hema Rohra welcomed him by presenting a sapling.
With an impressive outlook and expressive manner Sri Meena told students that it is absolutely necessary to have an analytical approach for sure success in any field. Giving tips about civil services in particular, he emphasized on focused approach, clarity of thoughts and assessment of one’s potential. He made students aware about the paper pattern and specifications of UPSC exam, while answering during Q&A session he asserted that success of any examination depends on self-study rather than only relying on coaching institutes which many a times lead to waste of time and money therefore students must very cautiously invest their time and money and to a large extent should try to work with an independent approach with the help of standard books.
Dr. Asmita Dubey, Principal of the college, presented a memento to him as a token of gratitude. The CEO of Jagran Education Foundation, Dr. JN Gupta appreciated Prem Prakash Meena ji for guiding and motivating the college students. Shalini Tripathi, a BA third year student of the college conducted the session with great confidence and zeal.
Faculty members Dr. Anju Sachan, Ms. Sonal Verma, Ms. Kanika Bajaj and Mr. Prashant Khare shared other course specific information with the students.
