Educational Tour: A Journey Through Art, History, and Spirituality

Jagran College of Arts, Science, and Commerce organized a captivating educational tour for its students during the monsoon season, focusing on art, history, and archaeology. The journey took them to the town of Bhitargaon, near Kanpur, where they marveled at the awe-inspiring Bhitargaon Temple, an ancient brick shrine from the Gupta Empire era. The students were enthralled by the original terracotta features still intact despite extensive restoration. Venturing further, they visited the mysterious Jagannath Mandir – Behta, known for its rain-predicting abilities and enigmatic construction date. The group sought blessings at Goddess Kushmanda Temple in Ghatampur, where the miraculous dripping water from the Devi Pindi is believed to cure eye-related problems. Their spiritual journey continued to Mukteshwari Devi Temple on the banks of the Yamuna River, believed to manifest in three different forms throughout the day. Finally, their tour concluded with prayers at the renowned Hanuman Temple, moments of serenity at the Yamuna riverbank, and cherished memories of newfound friendships and bonding. Such enriching experiences will undoubtedly stay with the students as treasured memories long after their college days are over.
