The inaugural session was followed by two technical sessions. Prof. B.P. Singh, Chairman, Delhi School of Professional Studies and Research, New Delhi graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Prof. Arun Kumar, Professor and Chairman Economic Studies and Planning Centre, J.N.U presented the keynote address in which he analysed all the minute details of the issue. Mehrotra, Dean faculty of Arts, C.S.J.M.U Kanpur, Dr. R.C. Gupta, Director, M.L.B College of Excellence, Gwalior who presented their views and research findings on the topic. The session was intellectually very rich. Other eminent speakers from various colleges and Universities presented interesting findings such as: Besides huge magnitude (50% of G.D.P) the black money grows not only proportionately but in absolute terms. It leads to Capital Flight, Disparity, Fiscal Crisis, Persistent increase in number of Scams and the amount involved in them, lack of productivity and overall distortion of values.

The main findings of the seminar were not only alarming but also provided a very useful base for tackling this menace. About two hundred delegates from all over India participated in the Seminar and college received sixty research papers which are published in the Seminar Proceedings. One of the best outcomes of the seminar was that it laid the foundation of the Jagran Journal of Commerce & Economics.

Jagran Journal of Commerce & Economics
Our Research Initiative
Jagran Journal of Commerce and Economics, a biannual journal published by Jagran College of Arts, Science and Commerce, focuses on national and global economic and commerce related issues. The Journal has been registered with NISCAIR, CSIR, New Delhi and assigned ISSN-2321-6522 in July 2013. Jagran Journal invites unpublished and original work to provide forum for exchange of ideas and techniques among academicians and practitioners to promote pragmatic research by disseminating the results of research in dynamic business and economic environment. The inaugural issue of the Journal was released on 24th November, 2012. It was based on UGC sponsored national seminar on the topic "Black Money and Indian Economy". In the first issue of the Journal, we published articles and papers of eminent economists and experts such as Prof. Arun Kumar, Prof. B.P. Singh, Prof. A. Chatterjee, Prof. Vimal Kumar, Prof. Pramod Kumar and Prof. R.C. Gupta. They addressed the vital and burning issue of black money generation, its laundering and its impact on Indian economy.

The second issue of the Journal addressed the problems of Sustainability, Accountability, Governance, Reliability of Corporate Social Reporting and Valuation of Intangible Asset and provided some concrete and innovative solutions towards business excellence. Our third issue discussed the problems related to Inter-Regional Agricultural Disparity, Work-Life Balance, Human Resource Management, E-Commerce etc. This issue attempted to bring out some useful management strategies for organizations and individual, IT enabled commerce and governance and increasing women participation in all walks of life for better prospects of the economy.

Our recent issue deals with Companies Act, Banking Sector Reforms, Corporate Disclosure Practice in order to provide new horizons for the development of Corporate India. The issue has also raised the problem of Creative Accounting and suggested strong measures such as Forensic Accounting, enhancing the practice of corporate governance to make the accounting more objective and transparent. Four issues have been published uptill now and we are in the process of publishing the next issue of the Journal which will not only broaden the knowledge base in the said field but may also suggest some concrete and innovative solutions to contribute towards policy issues.
